Darrell Morrisey was a member of the important Beaver Hall Group of artists active in Montreal in the first half of the 20th Century. These women artists are finally receiving the recognition that has so far eluded them; indeed, some Canadian art historians believe they are as important as the much better known Group of Seven. Due to her early death in 1930 and the subsequent disappearance of her paintings, Darrell Morrisey is one of the "forgotten" or "lost" members of the Beaver Hall Group. This essay solves the mystery of who Darrell Morrisey was and ends with the discovery of the only known paintings by her.
